I had a really great time yesterday. I met up with Kim for tea break. Last week we had both gotten pedicures at a shop in Far East Plaza, but this time around we headed to Takashimaya for a bit of shopping before heading to Cedele where we both spent an awful lot of time poring over the menu and trying to decide what to order. In the end I had the beef aglio olio while she had her favorite blueberry pancakes. I loved the pasta but the beef steak, though tender, had a too sour taste. I loved the crispiness of the bacon from Kim’s dish and the pancakes were lovely too. We ordered tea and mocha for after, and while I usually hate tea, I surprisingly liked Kim’s white pomegranate one.

Kim and I really enjoyed our conversation and would’ve stayed longer if I hadn’t made a prior appointment to meet up with Maya and Gay. So we parted and I met up with those two. We were all full so we decided not to have dinner and go around town shopping instead. We ended up buying shirts and jeans at Forever 21. The shirts were only S$6 apiece and the jeans they bought were only S$21 each – what a bargain! Unfortunately I had just bought a pair of jeans last December and I’m not really a pants person, so I passed.

When the shops closed, we decided to have coffee and pastries at Starbucks – Gay’s treat. We chatted and left only when they closed shop. Haha. I really had a wonderful Saturday. Thank you God for granting my prayer in 2008. 🙂
