We had our company quarterly event last night at Orchid Bowl in Downtown East mall. It was supposed to be a halloween event too, so I went in costume.
I was actually supposed to print out a Prada label and tape it on my dress so that I would go as “the devil wears prada” but I forgot with all the busy-ness at work. Later, I needed to slip off my heels and don bowling shoes. Funnily enough, they also came in red, so they still matched my outfit. Sort of.
When we got to the bowling lane, Maan changed into her costume. She had bought her stuff from Daiso, while mine came from Cold Storage. I love what she did to her eyes. She glued on false eyelashes and swept an olive green shadow all over her lids.
I didn’t have falsies but I just put on an extra coat of mascara on my Barbie Doll permed lashes, defined my brows in black (I normally use brown), brushed clay-colored bronzer from my Bodyshop shimmer waves pallet all over my lids and cheeks, and put blood-red lip-and-cheek stain on my lips. I loved the effect of a trick called “contouring” on my cheeks… it defines my cheekbones and makes my face appear thinner. ;P
Due to a broker data issue that got a lot of people stuck in the office, we had to abandon most of our plans for the night, including the preset teams, so I teamed up with my co-members from the social committee, Maan, Winson and Edmund. I’m not a good bowler; I scored a measly 98 for three games and threw gutter balls a few times, but I did manage to throw five strikes during the night too. There was one fun moment when all four of us on the team successively threw strikes and we were all screaming in jubilation. Our best bowler was Ed, and I called him ‘Striker’ which he liked very much.
“Go witch! Go devil!” We yelled as we bowled. Doesn’t sound so nice LOL. |

When we weren’t bowling, we went around posing for pictures. The trident makes such a wonderful prop, don’t you think?
