Poulet @ Bedok Mall {Foodee}

I have always wanted to try Poulet amazing French roast chicken because I love French food, and I finally had my chance to try it in Bedok Mall recently.

 The place – c’est magnifique! This means “it’s magnificent” in French. I fell in love with the look of the place which was so neat and charming.

I thought the way they place their menus – with the image of the Eiffel Tower – on top of the tables was a genius presentation.

We ordered half of one of their famous roast chickens for sharing.

The chicken was delicious, but to be honest, the sauce wasn’t something that blew me away and made me want to come back. It wasn’t what I expected, I suppose. Or maybe we chose the wrong sauce and should have gone for either the mushroom chardonnay sauce or cranberry sauce instead.

Then we each wanted different side dishes. My friend Dred wanted fries.

I, however, spied something on the menu that I really wanted to try because it is famous for being the title of a movie.

Well, just like the chicken, it was good but not that amazing. I love vegetables and I love tomato sauce, but there was just something I found lacking in this dish. But at least I’ve tried it, so my curiosity has been satisfied.

Overall, I’d say that the place looked beautiful, the service was quick, and they served decent delicious food, but their taste didn’t really stand out for me. I guess TFS Bistrot set a high water mark for my French food standards.
