And so…

Later that day, a pleasant surprise!

So yesterday, I dropped by Moody Mary to collect my prize. It’s perfect for the dress I’m wearing, don’t you think? Even Bruno (the cutie little bundle of fur I’m carrying) is staring at the necklace and agrees! Haha.

And now for a little background. Moody Mary sells handmade accessories and was first introduced to me by my friend Nikki who is friends with the owner Jil. When she mentioned that Jil customizes jewelry, I got excited because I have always wanted to have a name necklace and maybe she could make me one. So one fine day last December saw me trooping over to Moody Mary’s with my friends Nikki and Mildred. My idea was to make a necklace that looked like a bracelet, with gemstone charms and my initials dangling from it. Jil very gamely took up my idea and made the necklace on the spot, while we browsed through her store:

I feel like a kid in a candy store! How to choose???

It was a very confusing few minutes where we wanted to go:

If you’re a girl, I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Finally, though, we made our choices. Here’s what I ended up buying:

Let’s have a closer look at that customized necklace:

It’s exactly what I want, thank you very much!! If you want to see me wearing it, jump to my about page. 😀

And so that was the day that we fell in love with Moody Mary’s accessories and her super duper cutie pomeranian Bruno. He is sooo adorable! He is well behaved and doesn’t make any noise but is kind of scared of strangers though. Well, who wouldn’t be scared of giant strangers invading his personal space, right? I would be, too, if I were in his place.

I’ve been back to her place several times after that. Here are some pictures of those other times.

Jil likes to take pictures of her clients and post them on her Moody Mary
Facebook page, like she did with this one.

I just can’t resist the oh so adorable Bruno!

And here are some pictures of some of the other accessories I bought from her shop.

You can check out more of her accessories on her Facebook page and Etsy. She ships internationally. You’re welcome! 😀
