I had a birthday staycation at The Langham over the weekend. This time around, unlike last year, I wasn’t alone, but with my friend May. I gotta say that the hotel just screamed luxury from the lobby alone.
The bedroom also looked very opulent.
We booked a slot at the outdoor swimming pool which was quite small and full of kids. I preferred the pool at Ritz Carlton and Kerry, but it was till nice to be able to enjoy a dip!
When we checked into the room, May surprised me with a slice of birthday cake she had ordered. So cute and sweet!
Later that evening, her husband Mico joined us for dinner at T’ang Court, a Three Michelin Star restaurant that serves authentic Cantonese culinary masterpieces. We ordered one of the sets and thought everything was delicious.
We then enjoyed posing for pictures on the beautiful stairwell, like we had seen some people do earlier. Thanks for the idea, guys!
The next morning, we got up to enjoy the sumptuous buffet breakfast. I seem to have misplaced the pictures for those but let me paint a picture – there was a live egg station, and there was one whole section devoted to the famous Hong Kong milk tea. I thought it was better than your run of the mill hotel breakfast buffet, actually.
I had a happy birthday, for sure!
